@cstross@wandering.shop of course this reclassification is meant to limit the amount of financial assistance and student loans students can receive. Few students can afford college without loans because higher education here is wildly unaffordable just like our healthcare. From what I've read they've cut the eligible degrees from ~2000 to under 600. But hey a theology degree still counts as professional!
